Throttle Cable
Install the throttle Cable
1. Route the ribbed cable under the tube
clamp to the left side of the engine.
2. Connect the S-shaped end of the
throttle cable to the throttle lever on
top of the carburetor. See Figure 8.
3. Slip the throttle cable into the slot
on the fan cover and tighten the jam
nuts. See Figure 9.
4. Install the black wire to the fan cover
screw as shown. See Figure 9.
5. Connect the two red ignition wires
together. See Figure 9.
Assembly
Adjust Throttle Free Play
1. Make sure the throttle trigger oper-
ates smoothly without binding, then
test the throttle trigger for free play.
There should be about 7 mm free
play when the engine is not running.
See Figure 10.
2. Adjust the two jam nuts until you
achieve 7 mm throttle free play, then
tighten trigger jam nuts securely.
See Figure 11.
