Setting the Flash

You can take a photo with the flash set.
In the default setting, the flash will be automatically set [
The flash firing mode can be set to suit the conditions of photography.
The effective firing distance of the flash is approximately 0.4m to 2.0m.

Touch the display key

The photograph information is
displayed. With the default setting,
the information is displayed, so this
operation is unnecessary.

Touch the flash icon
[
A list of flash selection icons are
displayed. When the flash icon
[
list disappears and the original
settings are retained.

Select the optimum flash
for the photograph
conditions and touch the
corresponding icon.
The selected flash icon is displayed.
• It may take a few seconds to charge the flash. The indicator blinks red and the
monitor turns OFF while the flash charging is in progress. Photography by
using the flash is not possible while the charging is in progress. Wait until the
charging is completed.
• If you take a photo in the Slow Sync [
background or in the Suppressed Flash [
shutter speed slows down. To prevent shaking or movement, we recommend
that you place the camera on a stable surface.
• The flash settings are not canceled even if the power is turned OFF or the
Auto Power OFF function is activated.
