Note: Digital meters might give unstable resistance readings if leakage current is flowing in the building
earth circuit. If the reading is unstable, or is greater than 1 ohm, contact your branch office installation
planning representative or field manager.

Checking the customer supplied voltage

Perform the following voltage check on all breakers the customer uses to supply power to the frame.
__ 1. Set the breaker to the ON position.
__ 2. Measure the customer supplied voltage:
Voltage value:
__ 3. If the voltage is outside the acceptable range, advise the customer to correct the problem.
__ 4. Set the supply-power breaker to the OFF position.

Check the power cord

Perform the following check on all power cords the customer uses to supply power to the frame.
Note: Skip steps 2 and 3 if the power cord is wired directly to the power source.
__ 1. Check all power cords for damage, broken insulation, or burned pins. Ensure that the removable
plug is fully inserted in the PDU.
__ 2. Measure the resistance from the earth pin of the disconnected power cord to frame earth of the
PDU. The reading must be 0.1 ohms or less.
__ 3. Check the strain relief clamp to ensure that it is correctly installed and tightly fastened.
Voltage type:
Single-phase AC voltage: The acceptable single-phase
voltage range for 50 Hz or 60 Hz measured phase to
phase is 200 - 240 Vac.
