GPS mode of operation
If the Lucca receives the signals from
at least 3 satellites, it can determine
its position and display it on the map.
This position can then be used as the
starting point for a route calculation.
Since a positioning and position dis-
play is carried out once every second,
you can view your movement on the
map.

Using the SD/MMC card
You can use an SD/MMC card with
the Lucca for the following:
•
Loading navigation data from
other countries (chapter "Install-
ing the map material")
•
Playing audio data
(chapter "MP3 player")
•
Calling up image data
(chapter "Picture Viewer")
The SD/MMC cards may have a ca-
pacity of up to 4 GB and must be
formatted using the FAT 16 or FAT 32
format.
Preparation
The fi les can be stored either at the
top directory level or in subdirecto-
ries. You can also mix different fi le
formats within a directory. The MP3
player plays only the audio fi les and
ignores the image fi les. Likewise, the
Picture Viewer shows only the image
fi les.
