Installation steps

Please take note of the safety information in the chapter "Important
notes" on page 7.
Do not expose the server to extreme environmental conditions (see
section "Technical data" on page 4). Protect it from dust, humidity and
heat.
Ê Unpack the server (see next section "Unpacking the storage subsystem").
Ê Mount the storage subsystem in the rack (see section "Mounting the
subsystem in the rack" on page 18).
Ê Attach the cables according to the (rack) configuration required.
Ê Set the SCSI bus address of the installed backup units (see section "Setting
the SCSI ID" on page 20).
Ê Connect the server to the power supply (see section "Connecting the power
cable" on page 21).
Ê Put the storage subsystem into operation (see chapter "Preparation for use
and operation" on page 23).
