Troubleshooting guide

Problem
No coffee is released into
the upper caffé chamber.
The coffee takes a long
time to flow into the upper
caffé chamber.
Coffee leaks from between
the upper caffé chamber
and the base of the
Sunbeam Café Moka.

No water in the base.
Upper caffé chamber filter

coffee grounds are too fine or
tamped down too hard.

What to do
Fill the base with water
Clean using warm soapy
water and a fine bristled
brush and if necessary clean
using a pin.
Ensure you are using a
medium-fine grind of coffee
and do not compact/tamp
the coffee grinds so firmly.
Empty out the filter and
clean with a bristled brush
under water to remove any
coffee granules blocking
the filter holes. If necessary
clean using a pin.
