5. Operating Modes

Abbreviations used:
Ue:
Input voltage at Terminals X1.1 – X1.2
Ua:
Output voltage at Terminals X1.3 – X1.4 and X1.5 - X1.6
ok:
Input voltage Ue is OK or above the set battery cut-in threshold
Bat:
Battery operation (batteries connected to the output, batteries supplying the load)
Remote:
Remote timer start signal with signal level = 0 at Pin 7 of the 9-pole serial
interface (Pin 7 is usually the positive supply of the interface)
t1:
Input voltage Ue fails or falls under the set cut-in threshold
t2:
Buffering time set at the DIP switches is started with remote timer start (signal level = 0)
t3:
Input voltage Ue rises above the set cut-in threshold
t4:
End of the set buffering time (output is deactivated and/or battery is turned off)
t5:
Output is switched on again for 5 seconds after deactivation
tp
Buffering time set at the DIP switches (under Row 2 to 7)

Resumption of power supply when the buffering time tp is up (t3 is temporally after t4):
In the input voltage of the DC UPS module drops (time t1), the "Bat" battery immediately assumes the direct
voltage supply. In this way, the output voltage Ua remains absolutely uninterruptible. The floating changeover
contact "OK/Bat" switches to its resting position "Bat." At the same time t1, the buffering time tp set on the DIP
switches starts automatically. Whether or not the DIP switch is set to "Output Ua Interruption" does not have an
effect in this case because the input voltage does not return to time t3 until the set buffering time (time t4) is up.
