Installing the software packages
The software for the LAN Console requires a maximum of 10 Mbytes storage
space.
The following software packages must be installed on the LAN Console:
– If the LAN Console is to be integrated into a WSA domain, the Supplement
CD is required.
– The LAN Console software is stored on the Control CD (System manage-
ment CD). The Control CD contains the following packages for the LAN Con-
sole:
Package
SMAWrtty (Communication)
SMAWxsco (Console mapping)
SMAWrins (Remote installation server)
SMAWtelx (Telecall gate)
Installation procedure:
Ê Insert the Control CD. The required packages are installed using the Web-
start wizard.
The File Manager window opens automatically and shows the contents of
the CD-ROM.
