the
engine
must
be running
to
do
some
work,
make
sure the area
is
weil-ventilated.
Never run the engine
in
an enclosed
area.
The exhaust
contains
poisonous carbon
monoxide
gas
that
may
cause
loss of
consciousness'and
may
iead
to
death.
Start the
engine and
allow
it
to idle.
Inspect the
ignition timing.
The
timing
is
correct
if
the
"F" mark
aligns
with the index mark
ofi
the crankcase
at idle
speed.

± 100

Check
the
"F" mark
begins to
move when
the engine speed
reaches the
advance
start
rpm.
At 3,000
min-

(rpm),
the
ignition
timing
is
correct
if
the
in-
dex mark
is
between
the
