REPEAT JAMMING:
Make sure to fan the paper before loading it in the tray. This is very important with hole
punched papers and coloured papers.
Double check the paper size and direction and that the size and direction of the paper in the
tray is reflected correctly on the screen of the photocopier.
Make sure all jammed paper is removed from the machine. If a piece of paper is torn while
removing it from the machine, it is crucial that the remains torn paper bits are found and
removed as well. Left over bits may cause repeat jams.
Make sure the paper used in the machine is for designed laser printers or copiers. Ink-jet
papers must not be used. Colour machine running high toner coverage prints should use a
slightly heavy stock of 24lbs or 28lbs paper.
Heavy stock or card stock papers must be run through the bypass tray as thick paper.
Please refer to
instructions on special media.
Turn the machine off by pressing the Main Power button on the control panel. Wait for light
to stop blinking or wait 30 seconds. Then completely power down the machine by toggling
off the red standby switch for 10 seconds and then toggling it back on. The red standby
switch location is different for each model. If needed, please call our office for assistance to
locate the switch. DO NOT pull the power plug from the wall to attempt a full power down.
