WARNING
Before beginning any service work, turn the PTO
off,set the parking brake, turn the ignition switch
off, remove the key, disconnect the spark plug
wire, and disconnect the negative battery cable.
TRACTOR DRIVE BELT
REPLACEMENT

Belt Removal - Tuff Torq K-56 Models

1. Park the tractor on a level surface. Disengage the
PTO, turn off the engine and set the parking brake.
Remove the key.
2. Remove the mower deck from the tractor. See
MOWER REMOVAL & INSTALLATION, Section 6.
3. Elevate the front of the tractor (see ELEVATING
FRONT END FOR SAFE SERVICE, Section 6).
4. Remove the capscrew (B, Figure 3) securing the right
side of the transmission belt guide (A).
5. Engage the parking brake to slacken the drive belt.
5. Loosen the idler assembly capscrew (D, Figure 2)
and rotate the belt guide (E) away from the belt.
Remove the belt from the idler assembly.
7. Remove the drive belt from the transmission input
pulley (C, Figure 3).
8. Disconnect the drag link (A, Figure 2) from the steer-
ing arm (C).
9. Unplug the wiring harness from the PTO clutch (A,
Figure 1) .
10. Remove the capscrew (D) and PTO clutch (A) as
shown in Figure 1.
11. Remove and replace the drive belt.
