4. Attach the brake link (M, Figure 7) to the transmission
brake lever (F).
5. Attach the brake lever return spring (E, Figure 7) to
the brake brake lever (F) and the inside rear carrier
mounting capscrew (N). Secure the spring to the
capscrew with a center locknut.
6. Attach the shock absorber (B, Figure 7) to the carrier
using a locknut and stud (C). The other end of the
shock absorber is attached to the transmission con-
trol lever and foot pedal rod with the other stud after
the carrier is installed in the frame.
7. Attach the release valve lever (D, Figure 7) to the
transmission using a cotter pin.
INSTALL THE CARRIER ASSEMBLY IN THE FRAME
8. Install the spacers (C & E, Figure 10) in the carrier
assembly. Use lithium grease to hold the spacers in
place.
9. Support the frame of the tractor with jackstands (see
Figure 9). Set the carrier and transmission assembly
on the floor jack (see Figure 8). Using the floor jack,
lift the carrier assembly into the frame aligning the
pivot spacers with the pivot holes in the frame.
10. Secure the carrier assembly using the original hard-
ware pictured in Figure 10. Torque the capscrews
(A) to 50 ft. lbs.
