How to deep clean carpet
Filler Cap
WARNING:
Use
only BISSELL Carpet Care
in your cleaner. Use of
cleaning formulas which
contain lemon or pine oil
may damage this appliance
and void warranty.
Chemical spot cleaners
or solvent based soil
removers should not be
used. These products may
react with the plastic
materials used in your
cleaner, causing cracking
or pitting.
Getting ready
1. Open Lid.
2. Flip Carry Handle to upright position, grasp Handle and lift
Solution Container from Cleaner Body.
NOTE: The Solution Container contains two tanks.
The Solution Supply tank is flexible plastic which shrinks
as you use water and cleaning solution. The Collection
Tank holds the soiled water/cleaning solution removed
during deep wet cleaning.
3. Remove Filler Cap from Solution Container. Invert Filler
Cap to measure carpet cleaner solution - each filler cap
holds 3-oz. Add three (3) full caps of BISSELL Carpet Care
concentrate to Solution Supply Tank as shown.
4. Fill Solution Supply Tank with hot (NOT boiling) tap water
until water appears in Filler Opening. Slight foaming may

occur. Wait until foam subsides, then continue filling

Solution Supply Tank. The tank holds approximately

2 gallons.
NOTE: Each cleaner is 100% factory tested, so you may find
a small amount of water in your cleaner.
5. Replace Filler Cap securely. If cap is not secured correctly,
Cleaning Solution will be drawn from Solution Supply Tank
into Cleaner Body. Place Solution Container back into
Cleaner Body. Fold down Carry Handle. Recheck Filler Cap
for tightness. Close Lid, pressing downward on Latch.
Latch will snap into place when correctly seated.
6. Unwrap Power Cord from Cord Retainer and plug into 120
Volt, 60Hz grounded outlet as described in Important Safety
Instructions, page 2. If cleaner starts when first plugged in,
switch cleaner off until ready for use.
7. Move Power switch to ON position.
8. Move Pump switch to ON position.
Pre-treating
1. Pre-treat highly soiled areas: Hold floor nozzle 4" - 6"
above soiled carpet, and pull trigger to spray
cleaning solution.
Tip:
2. Wait 5-10 minutes. Scrub tough stains with floor
nozzle brush.
