• When copying HD (High Definition) videos, always use a new disc. You cannot add HD
(High Definition) videos to the same disc to which you have previously recorded HD (High
Definition) videos.
• The quality of commercially-made recordable discs can vary. Sub-standard discs may not
record normally.
• Some recorded discs cannot be played on playback devices due to the recording quality or
physical condition of the disc, or the characteristics of the playback device and playback
software. The disc will not play if it has not been correctly finalized.
"Memory Stick"
The DVDirect supports the following types of "Memory Stick." However, proper operation is
not guaranteed for all "Memory Stick" products.

Reading of data that requires MagicGate functions cannot be performed with the DVDirect.

Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo or Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo operation is supported, up to
32 Gbytes. The memory card slot of the DVDirect does not support capacities exceeding 32
Gbytes. Even if you insert such a card into the camera's memory card slot and connect the camera
to the DVDirect with the USB cable, recording will not be available (as of January 2010).

8-bit parallel data transfer is not supported.
Notes on using "Memory Stick"
• If you slide the write-protect switch to LOCK with a fine-tipped object, you cannot record,
edit, or delete images.
