Symptom
The recorder does
not work or works
poorly.
The recorder does
not work while
connected to the
computer.
The recorder
overwrites
existing materials
when record.
"NO SIGNAL"

display when
recording from a
portable CD

Cause/Solution
• The recorder is operated when it is on a battery charging stand.
, Remove the recorder from the battery charging stand.
• You tried to turn group mode on while setting the program.
, Turn group mode on before setting the program.
• There is an internal malfunction in the system.
, Remove the recorder from the USB cradle, restart your
computer, and then place the recorder on the USB cradle again.
• The computer does not recognize the recorder.
, Verify that the recorder is correctly connected.
, Place the recorder correctly on the USB cradle.
, Install the driver correctly into your computer.
, Install the OpenMG software into your computer first, and then
connect the recorder.
• The record starting-position setting ("REC-Posi") is set to "From
Here".
, Set "REC-Posi" setting to "From End".
• There is no digital signal from the portable CD player.
, When recording digitally from a portable CD player, use the AC
power adaptor and disable the anti-skip function (such as ESP)
on the CD player (page 22).
• The AC power adaptor was unplugged or a power outage occurred
during recording.
• The power sources have been disconnected during recording or
editing, or the battery have been exhausted.
, Set the power sources again, or replace the exhausted battery
with new ones.
• Check-in/Check-out is not finished.
, After the dialog box in the display window of your computer
disappears and the display window of the recorder indicates that
the recorder has stopped, flip the control bar towards x on the
recorder and remove the recorder from the USB cradle.
