3.12 POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM

Th e door lock swit ch es pr ovide a va r ia ble a m ou n t
of volt a ge t h r ou gh t h e m u lt iplexed (MUX) cir cu it t o
t h e BCM. Depen din g u pon t h a t in pu t a n d va r iou s
con dit ion s t h a t m u st be m et (i.e. door lock in h ibit ,
et c.), t h e BCM will det er m in e t h e a ct ion t o be t a ken
a n d a ct iva t e t h e pr oper r ela y for a ppr oxim a t ely 250
t o 350 m sec. If t h e veh icle is equ ipped wit h t h e
veh icle t h eft secu r it y syst em it will h a ve t h e cen t r a l
lockin g fea t u r e wh ich locks a n d u n locks a ll door s
fr om t h e cylin der lock swit ch . Th is swit ch is on a
sepa r a t e m u lt iplexed cir cu it t o t h e BCM a n d h a s
t r ou ble codes r ela t in g t o it .
