Charging the battery

1. Insert the small end of the
Charger cable into the Micro
USB/Charger port.
2. Plug the large end of the
charger into an electrical
outlet to begin charging.
A computer can also be
used to charge the
smartphone by
connecting
via a USB cable.
Any Micro USB charger will work to charge, your
phone may display a message that it is not
preferred, however it will charge the phone properly.
Turning Your Phone On / Off

Turning Your Phone On

• Press and hold the Power/Lock Key for a few
seconds until the screen lights up.

Turning Your Phone Off

1. Press and hold the Power/Lock Key until the
pop-up menu appears.
2. Touch Power off in the pop-up menu.
3. Touch OK to confirm that you want to turn off the
phone.
Lock / Unlock Your Phone

Locking Your Phone

• Pressing the Power/Lock Key turns the screen off
and puts the smartphone in lock mode.

Unlocking Your Phone

• To unlock the Smartphone, press the Power/Lock
Key to turn the screen on, then swipe the lock
icon .
Messaging
Send A Text
1. From the Home screen, touch
New message
.
2. Tap the To field and enter the recipient's name,
phone number or Email address.
3. Touch the Type to compose field and compose
your message. While composing a message, touch
Menu for these options:
- Add subject: Add a subject field to the message and
enter a subject. (This option also converts the message
to MMS.)
- Attach: Add content to the message to convert it to
MMS.
• Pictures: Add a picture, or take a picture.
• Videos: Add a video, or take a video.
• Audio: Add a voice memo or record a voice memo.
• Slideshow: Add a slideshow of pictures to this
message.
- Insert text: Select text from Contacts, Bookmarks or
Quick Text to add to the message or just add text/
message.
- Insert smiley: Add a text emoticon to the message.
4. Touch
to send the message.

Phone Features

Wi-Fi
When you turn Wi-Fi service on, your phone
automatically searches for available, in range WAPs
(Wireless Access Points).
Turning Wi-Fi On:
1. From the Home screen, swipe your finger
downward to display the Notification Panel.
2. Touch Wi-Fi, then swipe the toggle switch from
Off to On to turn Wi-Fi On.
Turning Wi-Fi Off:
1. From the Home screen, swipe your finger
downward to display the Notification Panel.
2. Touch Wi-Fi, then swipe the toggle switch from
On to Off to turn Wi-Fi Off.
Scanning and Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:
When you turn on Wi-Fi, your phone searches for
available Wi-Fi connections, then displays them on
screen.
• When your phone completes a scan, touch a
Wi-Fi network to connect. If the Wi-Fi network is
open, you will be automatically connected. If the
Wi-Fi network is secured, enter the password at the
prompt to connect.
NOTE: When you are connecting to a Wi-Fi network you
are not using any data on your data plan. We recommend
turning on and connecting to a Wi-Fi whenever possible.

Bluetooth Function

Search for a Bluetooth device and pair with it, to
exchange information between your phone and the
device.
1. From the Home screen, touch Menu >
Settings.
2. Under Wireless & Networks, touch Bluetooth.
3. Activate the target device's discoverable mode.
4. Touch Search for Devices.
5. From the list of scanned devices, touch the target
device, then follow the prompts to complete the
pairing:
• If the target device requires a PIN, enter a PIN
Messaging >
for the target device and touch OK. When
prompted, enter PIN on the target device.
*Bluetooth will decrease battery life. Only leave it on
if you are connected to a bluetooth device.

Accessing Internet

1. From the Home screen, click on applications,
select Browser.
2. Touch the URL field at the top of the screen, then
enter the URL using the virtual QWERTY keyboard.
3. As you enter characters, potential matches
display. Continue entering characters or touch a
match to complete the URL.
4. Touch Enter

1. Touch *86 in the keypad.
2. Follow the voice prompt directions.

Camera and Video

Take Photos

1. From the Home screen, touch
> Camera.
2. Using the display as a viewfinder, compose your
picture by aiming the lens at the subject.
• Touch the screen to focus on the area you
touched.
• Use the slider to zoom in and out. Spread
and pinch gestures are also available to zoom
in and out.
3. To take the picture, touch the Camera button.

Record Videos

1. From the Home screen, touch
> Camera.
• Tap the camera mode icon
to switch to video mode.
2. Using the display as a viewfinder, compose your
shot by aiming the lens at the subject.
• Press the Volume Key to zoom in or out.
3. To start recording, touch the Record button.
4. To stop recording, touch the Stop button.
NOTE: Pictures and videos can use large amounts of
available space. If you plan to store these on your phone
we recommend purchasing a large capacity SD card.

Making and Answering Calls

Making Calls

Several methods are available for calling, as follows:
• Enter a phone number using the dialpad, then
tap the handset icon . As the number is entered,
previously dialed numbers that match appear in a
list. Choose one, if appropriate.
• Tap Recent, then select a call from the history of
incoming and outgoing call.
• Tap Favorites, then select a contact from the list of
favorite contacts.
• Tap the contacts icon , then select a contact
from the contacts list.
Answering Calls
• Tap Answer to receive an incoming call, or tap
Ignore to decline it. To decline a call and send a
message to the caller, tap Send MSG.
• If a call comes in when the screen is off, drag the
green handset icon to the center to answer it. To
decline it, drag the red handset icon to the center.
Answering Call-Waiting Calls
• While on a call, tap Answer to answer another call.
To switch between the two calling parties, tap Swap.
