Beaming from a NEO to a Palm OS Device

If you are working in AlphaWord Plus, you can beam a file without leaving the
program. Both devices must have AlphaWord Plus installed. Follow these
steps to beam a file within AlphaWord Plus:
1. On the sending device, start AlphaWord Plus and go to the file you want
to send.
2. On the receiving device, start AlphaWord Plus and go to the file # that will
receive the data.
3. Place the devices within three feet of each other and align their infrared
ports.
4. On the sending device, press ctrl-send.
5. On the receiving device, press ctrl-B.
6. If the file was empty, the file will be received into it. If the file contained
text, choose whether to overwrite the text or append the new data to the
end of it.
You can beam AlphaWord Plus files to Palm OS devices, such as Dana or
Dana Wireless by AlphaSmart or typical hand-held Palm OS devices.
You can beam to AlphaWord on Dana or Dana Wireless, or you can beam
AlphaWord files to the Memo Pad program. Before following the step
below, use the Beamer settings to set whether the file will be sent
as an AlphaWord file or a Memo Pad file. See page 6-12.
To beam between a NEO and a Palm OS device, both devices must have
infrared ports and be within three feet of each other.
Follow the steps below to beam an AlphaWord file to a Palm OS device.
On the NEO (the sending device):
1. Make sure you know which AlphaWord file contains the data you want to
send.
2. Turn on both the NEO and the Palm OS device.
3. On the NEO, press applets to view the SmartApplets menu.
