USEFUL ADVICES

Any maintenance operations carried out on the machine must always be done
following the safety rules described in this manual.
It is recommended to start the machine and complete the full cycle while reaching
the working temperature without the plastic film. With this uniform heat is achieved
by the calendar rollers and pressure rollers, and also that machine commences to
work with heat. This process is recommended for the majority of cases, being
absolutely essential when working with very large sheets of paper.
When adjusting the temperature, particularly the first few times, it is recommended
that this be set at 60 – 80ºC and increase this slowly if necessary to attain the
required finish.
It is important to verify that the temperature adjustment is correct, since the
laminated paper forms a continuous whole, and the neoprene roller dissipates heat
from the calendar roller, heat which therefore is lost.
It is essential to ensure that the calendar is perfectly clean, since any stains or
imperfections due to residues of plastic, for example, will mark the sheet and this
mark cannot be eliminated. For cleaning use a universal type solvent, gasoline or
similar with a rag or paper.
The pressure roller, manufactured in neoprene, must be perfectly smooth, with no
plastic residues, adhesive or dirt. In order to clean this roller a universal type
solvent can be used with a black type sponge.
If any of the other rollers were to have any plastic adhered to them, these can be
removed by using talcum powder.
