    Introduction 1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE AND PROPER USE THIS MANUAL IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLIANCE AND THEREFORE MUST BE KEPT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND IN AN ACCESSIBLE PLACE FOR THE WHOLE WORKING LIFE OF THE COOKER. WE ADVISE READING THIS MANUAL AND ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS THERE IN BEFORE USING THE COOKER.
  • Page 3 Introduction DO NOT PUT PANS WITHOUT PERFECTLY SMOOTH AND FLAT BOTTOMS ON THE HOB GRIDS. DURING USE THE APPLIANCE BECOMES VERY HOT. TAKE CARE NOT TO TOUCH THE HEATING ELEMENTS INSIDE THE OVEN. DO NOT USE CONTAINERS OR BROILERS THAT EXTEND BEYOND THE OUTER PERIMETER OF THE HOB.

    2. INSTALLATION OF THE APPLIANCE It is the law that all gas appliances are installed by authorised persons. Clearance around the cooker must comply with the requirements of AS5601. 2.1 Electrical connection Make sure that the power line vo indicated on the rating plate located inside the storage compartment. This rating plate must never be removed.
  • Page 5 Instructions for the installer 2.2 Gas connection This appliance is suitable for installation with Natural Gas or ULPG (propane). Refer to page 12 for the relevant burner pressure and appropriate injector appliance is to be connected to Natural Gas then the pressure regulator supplied must be fitted to the gas inlet.
  • Page 6 2.3 Room ventilation Caution – This cooker may only be installed and operated in rooms permanently ventilated in accordance with current regulations. For proper operation of a gas appliance it is essential for the air necessary for combustion of the gas to be able to flow naturally into the room. Air must flow directly into the room through openings in its outside walls.
  • Page 7 Instructions for the installer REQUIREMENTS 1 Overhead clearances – (Measurement A) Range hoods and exhaust fans shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. However, in no case shall the clearance between the highest part of the hob of the cooking appliance and a range hood overhead exhaust fan, 750 mm.

    The hob of the cooker is adjusted for use with either natural gas at a pressure of 1.0kPa (FS61XNG-FS62XNG-FS60WHNG-FS60XNG) or LPG (propane) at a pressure of 2.75 kPa (FS61XLPG-FS62XLPG). If used with other types of gas, you have to replace the nozzles, then adjust the minimum flame on the gas taps.

USE OF THE HOB 8.1 Lighting of the hob burners Before lighting the hob burners check that the flame caps are in the correct position and that their burner caps are in place, making sure that the holes A in the flame caps correspond to the spark plugs and thermocouples.

  • Page 22 9.3 Use of the gas oven 9.3.1 Electronic spark lighting Open the oven door completely, press the thermostat knob and turn it clockwise to max. temperature. The electronic spark lighting device will be enabled automatically. Once the oven is lit, hold the knob down for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
  • Page 23 Instructions for the user 9.5 Use of the gas grill 9.5.1 Manual lighting of the gas grill burner Having opened the oven door, press the knob and turn it clockwise to the grill position, placing a lit match to the burner on the roof of the oven. Once the burner is lit, hold the knob down for about 10 seconds.

    9.5.6 Using the leteral rotisserie Fit the supporting frame onto the second runner up from the bottom so that the seat projects outside the oven. Place the rod as shown in the diagram (1) and push the frame into the oven until the end of the rod reaches the hole in the rotisserie motor.

COOKING HINTS FOR ELECTRIC OVEN 11.1 Traditional cooking FUNCTION SWITCH THERMOSTAT SELECTOR SWITCH FROM 50° TO 260°C This traditional cooking method, in which heat comes from above and below, is suitable for cooking food on a single level. You have to pre- heat the oven until the set temperature is reached.
  • Page 28 11.3 Grill cooking FUNCTION SWITCH THERMOSTAT SELECTOR SWITCH FROM 50° TO 260°C Permits rapid browning of foods. You are advised to place the pan in the highest guide. For short-term cooking of small quantities, place the grid in the third guide from the bottom. For long-term cooking and grills, put the grid in the lowest guide in accordance with the size of the pieces.
  • Page 29 Instructions for the user 11.5 Delicate cooking FUNCTION SWITCH THERMOSTAT SELECTOR SWITCH FROM 50° TO 260°C Ideal for pastries and cakes with wet covering and little sugar and damp desserts in moulds. Excellent results can also be achieved in completing cooking at the bottom and with dishes requiring heat in the lower area in particular.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 12.1 Cleaning stainless steel and enamelled versions To maintain stainless steel in good condition it must be cleaned regularly after each use, once it has cooled down. 12.1.1 Ordinary Daily Cleaning To clean and preserve the stainless steel surfaces, always use only specific products that do not contain abrasives or chlorine-based acids.

Check them regularly and clean with a damp cloth if necessary. Any dry residues can be removed with a toothpick or a needle. 12.2.4 The burners The burners can be left to soak in hot water and detergent.

EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE Ovens periodically replacement of parts subject to wear and tear such as gaskets, electric bulbs etc. Specific instructions for each intervention of this type appear below. Before performing any operations requiring access to powered parts, switch off the power supply to the machine. 13.1 Lubrication of gas taps With time it may happen that the gas taps get blocked and hard to turn.
  • Page 33 Instructions for the user 13.4 Oven door gaskets The door gaskets can be dismantled for thorough cleaning of the ovens. Before removing the gaskets the oven doors must be removed as previously described. With the doors removed, raise the tabs at the corners as shown in the figure.
