SENSEPOINT RFD OPERATING MANUAL

10 User configuration

Sensepoint RFD has a menu system to calibrate the detector and configure a range
of user settings. The procedure to calibrate (zero and span the system) are detailed
in section 9.1. The configuration menus are accessed using the Handheld Remote
Interface. Press the menu button to access the first menu (P-00). Use the Up and
Down buttons to select other menus. Press OK to enter a selected menu.
10.1 P-02 Set alarm level 1 (or set fault relay)
1. Select the P-02 set alarm 1 relay menu.
2. The display shows the current alarm 1 value both graphically and numerically.
3. Use the Up and Down buttons on the Handheld Remote Interface to set the
value between 10% and 90% of the full range.
Note: Alarm 1 has to be less than Alarm 2.
4. Press OK to confirm the change.
5. To set alarm relay 1 as the fault relay press and hold the down button until the
displayed value changes to F.
6. Press OK to confirm the change.
10.2 P-03 Set alarm level 2
1. Select the P-03 set alarm 2 relay menu.
2. The display shows the current alarm 2 value both graphically and numerically.
3. Use the Up and Down buttons on the Handheld Remote Interface to set the
value between 10% and 90% of the full range.
Note: Alarm 2 has to be higher than Alarm 1.
4. Press OK to confirm the change.
10.3 P-04 Set relay 1
1. Select the P-04 set relay 1 menu.
2. The display shows either:

the required setting.
4. Press OK to confirm the change.
Note: The change becomes active when the detector returns to normal gas
monitoring.
