Determine the proper functioning of all display segments and icons by using
diagnostic 22.
A cold start of the instrument erases from memory any calibration data entered by
the user. The instrument must be recalibrated before use. Press and hold the
key, and then turn the instrument power on to place the instrument in a cold start
condition. After cold start, the
standard calibration is entered. The instrument initializes in the
If the display flashes all 9s, the sample being measured is over-range (for the
selected range of measurement). The instrument also indicates over-range if the
sample is >40 NTU (268 Nephelos or 9.8 EBCs) with the Ratio off (refer to
Section 2.8 on page 29).
If the display flashes 0s, the measurement indicates a negative turbidity value.
Recalibrate the instrument (see Section 3.2.4 on page 39).
