FORMAT
°§This function is for formatting a compact flash memory card. Formatting the
card allows data to be stored on it.

After moving the bar cursor to FORMAT, press ENTER then the following
messages will appear on the LCD monitor.

Move the bar cursor into YES or NO with the up and down directional
buttons. Then press the ENTER button for the action to be executed.
°§After selecting YES, when you push ENTER button
¶_After formatting the memory card, a NO IMAGE message will appear
on the LCD monitor.
°§After selecting NO, when you push ENTER button.
¶_A screen is back to a manual starting screen and FORMAR of the
screen is highlighted. When deleted, the setup MENU mode is
cancelled if you press MENU.

°ÿThe LED symbol during formatting
The green LED on the top right of
the viewfinder will flash until formatting
is finished.
°ÿFORMAT
This function will configure the memory
for the compact flash card. It will now be
ready to take pictures.

Note
°§[ERASE ALL] function is for erasing only image files of a memory
card that a camera can percieve but [FORMATTING] function is for
deleting all data of a memory card.

°§Compact flash memory card as follows should be in the beginning
stage of memory card:
- the compact flash memory card that is not initializd
- the compact flash memory card that a camera can't percieve.
Enlarging image
°§When viewing a single image on the LCD panel you can zoom in to
enlarge a portion of the image. Simply press the zoom (T) button to
enlarge the image.
°ÿ The scale of enlargement of the shooting image is as follows.
°§In case of recording size is large : 1.5/2.0/3.0/4.0/5.0 times.
°§In case of recording size is small : 1.5 ~2.5 times (0.5times interval)
°ÿ When an image is enlarged, you may use the directional control to select
a particular part of the enlarged image.
°ÿ Pressing the (W) wide button will reduce the level of enlargement.
¶_You can distinguish the extended position of the image by the indicator
on upper left on the liquid crystal monitor [digital extension magnification/
no indication(the original shot image)].
