Remove the nuts holding the transaxle support in
place (Figure 58).
1. Nut (5/16 inch) (27 to 33
ft-lb)
2. Nut (3/8 inch) (15 to 19
ft-lb)

Locate the filter and filter guards on each transaxle
drive system (Figure 59). Remove three screws
securing the filter guard and guard.

Carefully clean area around filters. It is important

that no dirt or contamination enter hydraulic
system.
6.
Place a container below the filter to catch the
oil that drains when the filter and vent plugs are
removed.
7.
Locate and remove the vent plug on each
transmission
8.
Unscrew the filter to remove and allow oil to
drain from drive system.
Repeat this procedure for both filters.
