A.1.1
Process data and process images
Process image
The process image is a component of the system memory of the CPU. At the start of the
cyclic program, the signal states of the inputs are transferred to the process image of the
inputs. At the end of the cyclic program, the process image of the outputs is transferred to
the IO device as a signal state.
For soft starters with PROFINET, the following process image is available:
● Process image with 2 bytes outputs / 2 bytes inputs (16 O/16 I)
