12.2 Connecting to an S7-300 via the MPI

Connection When connecting an OP3 to an S7-300, the OP3 is connected to the MPI
interface of the S7. You can connect up to two S7s to an OP3. Up to three
OP3s can communicate with an S7 simultaneously. The CPU determines the
maximum number of connections. A maximum of 32 nodes can
communicate in an MPI network configuration.
