ZOOMING
Use the zoom function for close-up or wide-angle
recording.
This DVD camcorder allows you to record using optical
34x power zoom and 1200x digital zoom.
• Zoom lever is on the top of the camcorder.
• You can also use zoom function by moving the
Joystick (W/T) up or down.
To zoom in
Slide the zoom lever towards T (telephoto).
To zoom out
Slide the zoom lever towards W (wide-angle).

• Zoom magnifi cation over 34x is done through digital
image processing, and is, therefore, called digital
zoom. Digital zooming is possible up to 1200x.

You can set the digital zoom up to 1200x in movie
mode.
• Be sure to keep your fi nger on the Zoom lever. If you move
your fi nger off the zoom lever, the operation sound of the
Zoom lever may be also recorded.
• The minimum possible distance between camcorder and
subject while maintaining sharp focus is about 1 cm (about
0.39 inch) for wide angle and 50 cm (about 19.68 inch) for
telephoto.
• The focus changes when zooming after focusing manually.

• Optical zoom preserves the movie quality, but during digital
zoom the image quality may suffer.

• Asegúrese de mantener el dedo en la palanca del Zoom.
Si aleja el dedo de la palanca del zoom, es posible que
también se grabe el sonido de la palanca.
• La distancia mínima posible entre la videocámara y el
objeto con un enfoque nítido es de aproximadamente 1 cm
para el ángulo panorámico y de 50 cm para el teleobjetivo.
• El enfoque cambia al aplicar el zoom tras enfocar
manualmente. Enfoque automáticamente o tome la
escena que desee aplicando el zoom antes de enfocar

• El zoom óptico mantiene la calidad del video, pero con el
zoom digital es posible que la calidad de la imagen sufra.
La palanca de Zoom se encuentra en la parte
superior de la videocámara.
También puede utilizar la función de zoom
moviendo el Joystick (W/T) hacia arriba o hacia
abajo.
Cuanto más deslice la palanca del zoom, más
rápido será la acción de zoom.
La ampliación del zoom por encima de 34x se
realiza a través de un procesamiento de imágenes
digital y por ello se denomina zoom digital. El zoom
digital puede llegar hasta 1200x.
