• Ifthe m enu is not displayed, this button works as
the O PTICAL ZOOM or D IGITAL ZOOM button.
• This camera has a 5X optical zoom and a 5X digital zoom function.
Using both will offer a total zoom ratio of 2 5X.
• TELE Zoom
Optical zoom TELE:Pressing the Z OOM Tbutton. This witl zoom into the
subject i.e. the s ubject will appear nearer.
Digital zoom TELE:When the m aximum (5X) optical zoom is selected,
pressing the Z OOM Tbutton activates the d igital zoom
software. Releasing ZOOM Tbutton stops the d igital
zooming at t he r equired setting. Once the m aximum
digital zoom (5X) is achieved, pressing the Z OOM T
button will have no effect.
• WIDE Zoom
Optical zoom WIDE :Pressing the Z OOM W button. This will zoom out from
T O, the s ubject i.e. the s ubject will appear farther away.
Pressing the Z OOM W button continuously will set the
camera to its m inimum zoom setting i.e. the s ubject
W appears at i ts f arthest from t he c amera.

Digitalzoom WIDE : When the digital zoom is in operation, pressingthe
ZOOM W button witlreduce the digital zooming in
Optical z oom steps. Releasing ZOOM W button stops digital
r i zooming. Pressing the ZOOM W button will reduce the

digitalzoom and then it will continue to reduce the
Digital z oom optical zoom until the minimum setting is reached.
