TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
PROBLEM
The microwave oven will
not run.
Microwave cooking times
seem too long.
The turntable will not turn.
The display shows a time
counting down, but the
oven is not cooking.
The programming tone
cannot be heard.
The fan seems to be run-
ning slower than normal.
The display indicates ":".
If none of the items above is causing the problem, refer to "Requesting Assistance or Service"
on page 6-1.
CAUSE
• The door is not firmly closed and latched.
• The START keypad was not touched.
• The directions were not exactly performed.
• An earlier programmed operation is still running.
• The time was not set after touching the MICRO keypad.
• The electrical supply to the wall outlets is low, or is lower than
normal. Check to find out if the line voltage is low.
• The COOK POWER is not at the recommended setting.
• Larger amounts of food need longer cooking times.
•
The turntable is not correctly in place. Make sure that the
turntable has the correct-side facing up and is sitting se-
curely on center spindle.
•
The support is not operating correctly. Remove the turn-
table, check that the turntable spindle is properly in place,
and restart the oven.
•
The oven door is not closed completely.
•
The control is set as a kitchen timer. Touch TIMER SET/OFF
to cancel the Minute Timer.
•
The tones have been disabled. Refer to the "Use and Care
Guide" for the procedure on setting the tones.
•
The oven has been stored in a cold area. The fan will run
slower until the oven warms up to the normal room tempera-
ture.
•
A power failure has occurred. Reset the clock.
