Setting Tone Length or Start-up/Power-off Tone

You can determine the length of your key beep (you hear this when you press any key)
or type of the Start-up/Power off tone (sounds when you turn the phone on/off
on this feature.
1. From the Standby mode, press Menu to display the main menu.
2. Highlight Settings, and press OK.
3. Highlight Sounds, and press OK.
4. Highlight Others, and press OK.
5. Select the menu under Tone Length, Start-up Tone, Power-off Tone or Voice Prompt.
6. Press OK.
7. Highlight your desired option, and press OK.

Multimedia: the downloaded date from PC (See page XX).

Tip: Start-up Tone and Power-off Tone can be set the volume setting. See page 54 for instructions.

Changing the Backlight Time Length

The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and keypad are backlit
after any key press is made.
To change the backlight setting:
1. From the Standby mode, press Menu to display the main menu.
2. Highlight Settings, and press OK.
3. Highlight Display, and press OK.
4. Highlight Backlight, and press OK.
5. Select the menu under LCD or Key, and press OK.
6. Select Always On, Always Off or your defined time length, and press OK.
Always Off always turns the Backlight off.

Always On always turns the Backlight on.
l
Note: Long backlight settings affect the battery's talk and standby times.
Note: Always On setting set to as LCD returns to previous value on next power cycle.
