CX-Programmer, NS series HMI products, and software packages that use Omron FINS Gateway or Sysmac Gateway communications drivers. The adapter mounts in the Option Board Slot on the front of a CP1H or CP1L PLC, and can be used in all CP1H / CP1L PLCs with an available Option Board Slot. -

The CP1W-ETN01-US is an Ethernet to Serial adapter that has been designed to allow the use of a single operator interface terminal (NS, NSA, Indusoft) as well as a single instance of CX Programmer to communicate simultaneously to a CP1H or CP1L PLC. The adapter will not support more than 2 simultaneous connections. -

Section 3: Ethernet to Serial Adapter Setup The CP1W-ETN01-US is assigned a default IP address of 192.168.250.11. The IP address can be changed using a web browser pointed to the IP address of the adapter. A static IP address must be assigned to the PC’s Ethernet card for this purpose. Simply enter the IP address of the adapter (192.168.250.11) in the web browsers address field to access the configuration page. -

Section 4: PLC Setup The CP1W-ETN01-US adapter uses 115,200, 8,1,N as the communications parameters for the serial interface to the PLC. Configure the socket that is being used for the CP1W-ETN01-US (Serial Port 1 = Socket 1, Serial Port 2 = Socket 2) for 115,200, 8,1N as shown. -

Section 5: Using CX Programmer with the CP1W-ETN01-US To use CX Programmer with a CP1H or CP1L PLC Ethernet Adapter, you must have CX-Programmer Version 8.0 or later installed. (CX-One Version 3.0 includes CX- Programmer 8.0). Select Ethernet as the Network Type. If Ethernet is not available... - Page 7 Leave the FINS Source Address and Destination Address settings as 0, and set the Frame Length to 500 (bytes). On the Driver tab, specify the IP address of the CP1W-ETN01-US adapter. 192.168.250.11 is the address of the adapter when the unit is shipped and shown as an example.

If Smart Active Parts are required in a application, a CP1H + CJ1W-ETN21 should be used. When adding the CP1H or CP1L PLC as a Host in CX Designer, specify the Host Type as Sysmac-CS1/CJ1, the Network Address as 1, and the Node Address as the last octet of the IP address of the CP1W-ETN01-US. -
