4.5 Problems Communicating with Other
Computers
The computer with the NWD2105 installed cannot communicate with the other
computer(s).
I n I nfrast ruct ure Mode
• Make sure t hat t he AP and t he associat e d com put ers are t urned on and working
properly.
• Make sure t he NWD2105 com put er and t he associat ed AP use t he sam e SSI D.
• Change t he AP and t he associat ed wir ele ss client s t o use anot her radio channel
if int erference is high.
• Make sur e t hat t he com put er and t he AP share t he sam e securit y opt ion and
key. Verify t he set t ings in t he Pr ofile Au t h e n t ica t ion & Se cu r it y scr een.
• I f you are using WPA( 2) or WPA( 2) - PSK securit y, t ry changing your encrypt ion
t ype from TKI P t o AES or vice versa.
I n Ad- Hoc Mode
• Verify t hat t he peer co m put er ( s) is t ur ned on.
• Make sure t he NWD2105 com put er and t he peer com put e r( s) are using t he
sam e SSI D and channel.
• Make sure t hat t he com put er and t he p eer com put er( s) share t he sam e securit y
set t ings.
• Change t he wireless client s t o use anot her radio channel if int erference is high.
