Warnings and Notes
These are how warnings and not es are shown in t his User 's Guide.
Warnings tell you about things that could harm you or your
NWD2105.
Note: Notes tell you other important information (for example, other things you may
need to configure or helpful tips) or recommendations.
Syntax Conventions
• The NWD2105 m ay be referred t o as t h e " NWD2105", t he " device", t he " syst em "
or t he " product " in t his User 's Guide.
• Product labels, screen nam es, field labels and fie ld choices are all in bold font .
• A key st roke is denot ed by square bracket s and upp ercase t ext , for exam ple,
[ ENTER] m eans t he " ent er " or " ret urn" key on your keyboard.
• " Ent er " m eans for you t o t ype one or m ore charact ers and t hen press t he
[ ENTER] key. " Select " or " choose" m eans for you t o use one of t he predefined
choices.
• A right angle bracket ( > ) wit hin a sc r een nam e denot es a m ouse click. For
exam ple, M a in t e n a n ce > Log > Log Se t t in g m eans you first click
M a in t e n a n ce in t he navigat ion panel, t hen t he Log sub m enu and finally t he
Log Se t t in g t ab t o get t o t hat screen.
• Unit s of m easurem ent m ay denot e t he " m et r ic" value or t he " scient ific" value.
For exam ple, " k" for kilo m ay denot e " 1000" or " 1024", " M" for m ega m ay
denot e " 1000000" or " 1048576" and so on.
• " e.g.," is a short hand for " for inst ance", and " i.e.," m eans " t hat is" or " in ot her
words".
