1.4.2.1 Uninstalling the ZyXEL Utility

While you can drag t he ZyXEL Ut ilit y from your Applicat ions folder direct ly t o t he
Tr a sh and rem ove it t hat way, t he best and safest course of act ion is t o run t he
uninst allat ion program bundled on t he included disc. This ensures t hat all
com ponent s of t he applicat ion are properly rem oved, especially t he device driver.
To uninst all t he ZyXEL Ut ilit y:
1 Open t he ZyXEL_ USB.dm g file on t he included disc.
2 Open t he folder t hat corresponds t o your version of Mac OS X. For exam ple, if you
are using 10.5, t hen you want t o open t he USBW ir e le ss- 1 0 .5 folder.

3 Double- click t he USBW ir e le ss- Le opa r d- Un in st a ll.pk g t o run t he inst allat ion
program and follow t he on- scr een inst ruct ions.
4 Aft er uninst alling t he ZyXEL Ut ilit y and device driver, you m ust rest art your
com put er.
