Pull ring gear out of needle
bearing in gear housing.
•
Take the thrust washer off the
ring gear shaft.
•
Check condition of needle bea-
ring in gear housing and replace
if necessary.
- Check condition of needle bea-
ring in handle housing and
replace if necessary -

- Remove ring gear -
• Only replace pinion (1) and ring
gear (2) as matching set.
Install in the reverse sequence.
- Coat ring gear and washer with
lubricating grease -
•
Fit washer in oil pump if it was
removed from the spur gear.

- Remove the rotor -
- Remove the oil pump -
- Remove chain brake -
see 5.2.
•
Lift snap hook (1) a little and
see 10.2. then pull out the chain brake
switch (2).
•
Pull the oil strainer off the stub.
Install in the reverse sequence.
