Power button board

Description
Power button board assembly
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the bottom cover (see

Remove the following components:
a.
Keyboard (see
b.
Hard drive
c.
Internal base plate
Remove the power button board:
1.
Disconnect the cable from the power button board ZIF connector (1).
2.
Remove the Phillips M2.5×2.5 screw (2) that secures the power button board to the top cover.
3.
Push the lever left (3).
4.
Slide the power button board left from beneath the hinge (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the power button board.
