Fingerprint reader assembly

Fingerprint reader assembly (includes cable)
Fingerprint reader blank (for use in models without a fingerprint reader; included in Plastics/Rubber Kit)
Before removing the fingerprint reader assembly, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

a. Keyboard (see

c. Internal base plate
Remove the fingerprint reader assembly:
1. From the top of the computer, disconnect the fingerprint reader board cable from the system board ZIF
connector (1).
2. From the bottom of the computer, remove the mylar cover from on top of the fingerprint reader
assembly (2).
3. Slide the bracket right, and then lift it off the fingerprint reader assembly (3).
