6_ Remove the belt a sfollows. Refer toFigure 25_
a. Loosen and remove the shoulder screw w hich a cts a sabelt
keeper.
b. Unhook the support bracket spring f rom the frame.
7_ Remove the belt f rom around the auger pulley, and slip the belt
between thesupport bracket and the auger pulley. See Figure 26_
8_ Reassemble auger belt b yfollowing instructions inreverse order.
9_ Perform t he Auger Control test o ut%ed inthe Assembly section
ofthis manuak
NOTE: DoNOT f orget toreinstall the shoulder screw and reconnect
the spring tothe frame a fter i nstalling areplacement auger belt.
Drive Belt
To remove and repbce y our snow thrower's drive b elt, proceed as
follows:
1. To prevent spilbge, remove all f uel f rom tank byrunning engine
until itstops.
2. Remove the pbstic b elt c over onthe front ofthe engine byremow
ing the two self-tapping screws. See Figure 22onprevious page.
3. Remove the belt a sfollows. Refer toFigure 27.
a. Roll the auger belt o ffthe engine pulley.
b. Use awrench topivot the idler p ulley toward theright.
c. Lift t he drive b elt o ffengine pulley.
