Requirements of the installation site

Caution!
Risk of damage!
To prevent frost damage to the buffer cylinder
and damage caused by escaping water, do not
install the cylinder in rooms that are liable to
freezing.
• Make sure that the substrate is level and strong
enough to support the weight of the buffer cylinder in
its full condition (see Chapter 9, Technical Data).
• Install the buffer cylinder as close as possible to the
heat source, to minimise heat losses.
• Choose the installation location so that laying the
pipes is practicable.
• Lag all the supply lines with thermal insulation to pre-
vent energy losses.

Required minimum separations

When installing, make sure there is adequate clearance
to the walls, so that assembly and maintenance work
can be carried out.

• Carefully remove the protective film from the buffer

cylinder, taking care not to damage the rust protec-

tion coating.
The feet of the buffer cylinder are bolted to the trans-
port pallet.
• Remove the bolts from the feet of the cylinder.
The bolts are no longer required.
• Transport the buffer cylinder to its final installation
location.
• Position the buffer cylinder. The connections should
face the rear.
Owing to the weight of the cylinder, it is not necessary
to bolt its feet to the installation surface.

• Squeeze the bottom pad together in such a way that it
can be passed between the feet of the buffer cylinder.
Then push the pad from below between the cylinder
feet so that they fit snugly in the cut-outs.
