11.2.2 Replacing the generator
The following components must be removed before the
generator can be replaced:
A. Starter. Refer to Starter chapter.
B. Flywheel. Refer to Flywheel chapter.
1. Remove the bolts for the rear damper element (A)
and the travel inhibiting bolts (B). See fig. 11.
2. Remove the generator by unscrewing the three
bolts. See fig. 12.
3.
Release the cable from the switch and remove the
generator.
4.
Fit the new generator as shown in fig. 13 and
tighten the bolts (Refer to "4 Service data" on page
10).
5.
Position the cable as shown in fig. 13 and connect it
to the switch.
6.
Refit the flywheel and the starter.
11.2.3 Replacing the switch
1.
Remove the switch and disconnect the cables. See
fig. 9.
2.
Fit the cables on the new switch and press in the
switch.
11.2.4 Replacing the heating
element in the tank unit
1.
Remove the rear hand grip insert. See fig. 14.
2.
Remove the cable connections. See fig. 14.
3.
Fit the heating element and cable connections.
