10 TROUBLESHOOTING
EFFECT
Actuator not working.
HI/LO lock-out is on.
Loose wire connections.
Faulty actuator.
Invacare ®CS Series Beds
POSSIBLE CAUSE
For non-openbus (CS3) - A Lockout
box (a square black box) with a
toggle switch. When the switch is
towards "ON" side, the HILO on
the hand pendant will not function.
There is no LED light.
For openbus beds (CS7, CS9) - The
lockout box (a flatter rectangular
white box) with a toggle dome
button and LED light. When the
light is on, the HILO on the hand
pendant will not function.
Lockout LED on the Attendant
Control Pad (ACP) is ON.
Check cable connections visually.
Disconnect power supply, swap
cable from unresponsive actuator
with a functional actuator.
Reconnect power and test
functions. Faulty actuator will not
work regardless of the connection
port.
VERIFICATION
Rotate the lockout dial to the "unlocked" position
(horizontal), or flip switch to OFF.
Toggle-off the individual function lockout (LED should
be OFF)
Connect any loose cable couplings and/or power
supplies.
