Symptoms
Starter does not work
Steering does not track correctly
Steering play is excessive
Vehicle speed does not reach 25 MPH
Vehicle loses ground speed without
losing engine speed
Probable Causes
Neutral switch is not engaged.
Neutral switch is defective.
Battery power is low.
Battery connections are loose or
corroded.
Battery is worn out or defective.
Harness connections are loose.
Harness pin connections are bent.
Harness is defective.
Ignition switch is defective.
Starter is defective.
Improper tire inflation.
Tie rods not adjusted correctly.
Damaged frame steering or suspension
parts.
Pinion shaft is improperly attached.
Pinion shaft is loose.
Tie rod ends are loose.
Throttle cable housing is set too close
to engine preventing proper cable
movement.
Carburetor is icing up.
Normal condition when climbing grades
as the CVT will downshift automatically
allowing the engine to run in its
horsepower band.
Drive belt is wet and slips.
Drive belt is worn.

Suggested Remedies
Adjust neutral switch to be engaged
with shift selector in neutral.
Replace neutral switch.
Recharge battery.
Clean and tighten battery
connections.
Replace battery.
Reconnect harness connections.
Straighten harness pins.
Replace harness.
Replace ignition switch.
Replace starter switch.
Inflate all tires to correct tire pressure.
Adjust front tie rods. Front tires
should toe-out a total of 0" to 3/16"
more at the front than at the back.
Inspect thoroughly.
Realign pinion shaft.
Tighten pinion shaft bolts.
Align and tighten tie rod ends.
Reposition cable housing toward
seats until all cable slack is removed
between cable housing and engine.
Install cold weather kit.
None required.
Rev engine in neutral for one minute.
Replace drive belt.
