Refer to Figure 21:
1. Let both vehicles run for several minutes to charge up
the dead battery before removing jumper cables.
2. Disconnect black jumper cable from the metal surface
on the vehicle that had the dead battery.
3. Disconnect the other end of the black jumper cable
from the negative post on the booster battery.
4. Disconnect the red jumper cable from the positive (+)
post on the booster battery.
5. Disconnect the other end of the red jumper cable from
the positive (+) post on the dead battery.
6. Drive the vehicle that had the dead battery for a while
to recharge battery or recharge battery with a battery
charger. Follow all battery charger instructions when
recharging a battery with a battery charger.
