j. Once a test page has been successfully printed, click on OK to continue. Your new printer will
now be listed in the Printers and Faxes Manager window. You are now ready to print to your
hp bt1300 from any application.
6. Select File and Print from your Windows application. If you previously associated the COM port
with the hp bt1300, your print job should print immediately. If you did not previously make this
association, then you will be prompted for the device you want to use. If this is the case, select the
name of the HP printer adapter you wish to use, and then click on the appropriate button to
establish a connection and print.
7. After you have finished printing, you may have to manually break the Bluetooth connection in
order to allow others to use the printer. Refer to the documentation provided with your Bluetooth
PCMCIA card, USB adapter, or built-in adapter for information on how to manually break the
Bluetooth connection. Some Bluetooth devices with automatically break the connection after a
predetermined interval of inactivity.
NOTE: The hp bt1300 should automatically time out after one minute of inactivity.
