Clogged exhaust system
Clogged air filter
Clogged or stuck fuel injectors
Faulty governor or fuel pump
Empty fuel tank
Leaking or pinched fuel lines
Clogged fuel filter
Air or water mixed in fuel
Fuel injection nozzle clogged
Fuel injection pump faulty
Fuel solenoid valve faulty
Faulty glow plug
Faulty relay or wiring connection in control
box
Battery is discharged or low
Air cleaner is dirty

Solution
Inspect and repair as needed.
Replace fuel lines, tighten all
connections, inspect the fuel pickup
tube and inspect the fuel filter.
Inspect and repair as needed.
Inspect and repair or replace as
needed.
Inspect and repair as needed.
Inspect and repair as needed.
Add fuel to tank.
Inspect and repair as needed.
Replace filter.
Air: Tighten fule lines and vent fuel
system air at injection pump.
Water: Drain fuel and replace filter;
inspect and clean or replace injector
as needed.
