2. INSPECT THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.
(b) Insert a feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw
and stop lever.
(c) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between
each terminal.
If the resistance is not as specified, adjust or replace the
throttle position sensor.

connector.
REMOVAL OF THROTTLE BODY
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE TERMINAL
OF BATTERY
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
3. DISCONNECT ACCELERATOR CABLE
4. (A/TJ
DISCONNECT THROTTLE CABLE
5. DISCONNECT AIR CLEANER HOSE
6. REMOVE CABLE BRACKET FROM THROTTLE BODY
7. DISCONNECT THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
CONNECTOR
8. DISCONNECT FOLLOWING HOSES:
(a) No.2 water by-pass hose from the air valve.
(b) PCV hose from the throttle body.
(c) Vacuum hose(s) from the port(s).
9. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY
(a) Remove the two bolts and nuts, and disconnect the
throttle bo.dy and gasket.
(b) Disconnect the No.1 water by-pass hose, and
remove the throttle body.
