Hybrid vehicles; gasoline similar
POWER SUPPLY CHANGEOVER AND
ENGINE START/STOP
Check for proper activation of the "START STOP/
ENGINE"/"POWER" switch.
Power supply changeover
a) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle and apply the
parking brake.
b) Without depressing the brake pedal, press the
engine switch and change the power supply.

Press once: "ACCESSORY" mode
Press twice: "IGNITION ON" mode

Press three times: OFF
c) In each mode, check that the power supply has changed
properly.
Engine start/stop
a) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle and apply the
parking brake.
b) Check that the shift lever is in the"P" position.
c) While depressing the brake pedal, press the "START/
STOP ENGINE" switch.
Hybrid system start/stop
a) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle and apply the
parking brake.
b) Check that the shift lever is in the"P" position.
c) While depressing the brake pedal, press the "POWER"
switch.
d) Check that the "READY" indicator is illuminated.
e) Push the "POWER" switch (regardless of whether brake
pedal is depressed or not) to stop the hybrid system.
NOTE:
If the hybrid system is stopped with the shift lever in a
position other than "P" the power supply mode is switched
to "ACCESSORY" mode, not to OFF, and the battery will
deplete.
