INSPECTION DETAILS - C. LEFT FRONT
With rear air conditioning
AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATER
Warm up the engine and check for smooth operation of
each control:
Select the "MENU" button on the Remote Touch.
Select " " to display the air conditioning screen.
a) Select high fan speed and set the temperature to 85 °F
(29.5 °C) with the "TEMP" controls.
b) Select windshield defogger from the control panel and
check that hot air flows out of the front defogger vents.
c) Select downward air flow and check that hot air flows out
of the foot vents.
d) Check that the airflow volume changes when the fan
speed button is pressed on the control panel.
e) Select "AUTO" followed by "DUAL" or "3-ZONE" (indicator
on) and set the temperature of the driver's side to 65 °F
(18.5 °C).
f) Check that the displays of the airflow mode and the air
flow volume changes automatically by changing the
temperature in auto mode.
g) Check that the temperature of the passenger side
remained at 85 °F (29.5 °C).
h) Select upper body air flow mode (center vents).
i) Check that cool air flows out of the driver's side center
vent and hot air flows out of the passenger's side center
vent.
j) Press the "DUAL" or "3-ZONE" button (indicator off) and
check that cool air flows out of both center vents. Set the
temperature to 72 °F (22.2 °C).
k) Check that cool air flows out of the side vents and the
rear console box vents.
l) Push the " " button to test S-FLOW function. Check
that indicator illuminates, and then check that airflow to
the rear seats is reduced.
l) Press the "OFF" button.
m) Press the rear window defogger button on the control
panel and check that the indicator light illuminates.
n) Press the "AUTO" button.
o) Select the windshield wiper de-icer* and check for
proper operation.
