INSPECTION DETAILS - J. ROAD TEST

PARKING BRAKE

Check effort required to set the parking brake. Check for
pull or any abnormal noise.
a) Manual mode:

Set the parking brake
Press and hold switch and check that the parking brake
indicator comes on.

Release the parking brake
Operate the parking brake while depressing the brake
pedal and check that the parking brake indicator goes
off.
b) Automatic mode:
With the vehicle stopped and the engine switch in ON
mode, check that the brake warning light goes off when
the shift lever is moved from the "P" position (and goes
back on when it is moved into "P').
NOTE:
When vehicle is in ON mode, the parking brake indicator
light comes on until parking brake is released.
When not in ON mode, or if the engine switch is turned off,
the indicator stays on for approximately 15 seconds.

SNOW MODE

Check that the indicator light illumintates on the multi-
information display when the switch is pressed.
