  • Page 8: Preparations For Installing The Window Kit

    Preparations for Installing the Window Kit You must vent your portable air conditioner when running it in Cooling mode. Your unit includes a window exhaust kit that can be used to vent moisture out of a window. Before you begin, make sure that you have all the parts necessary for installation and that a suitable location is picked.
  • Page 9 Step 2 Cut the foam seal to the proper length and attach it to the windowsill. Step 3 Attach the window panel to the windowsill.  If the inner width of the window is between 22” and 24” wide: o Remove the adjustment panel from the window panel, and cut the window panel to the same width as the window frame opening.
  • Page 10  If the inner width of the window is between 36 ½” and 64” inclusive: o Open the window and place the extra window panel provided on the windowsill. o Slide the adjustment panel to fit the window frame width. o Secure the window panel to the windowsill with four large wood screws and four slider brackets.

    Installation of the Exhaust Hose Step 1 Connect the two pieces of the window exhaust adapter, fix them together, and press the clasp forcibly into the groove. Step 2 Install the hose at the rear clip. Aim the opening of the hose at the round mouth of the rear clip.

    Notes About the Exhaust Hose Your portable air conditioner is designed to exhaust condensed water that is collected from the air. This water, in either gaseous or droplet form, will be expelled out of the exhaust port of the unit. Please take this into account when deciding how to vent it.

    Installing the Drain Hose Note: The drainage hose must be installed before using this unit. If it is not, a block can form in the drain and prevent the unit from functioning normally. Step 1 Remove the rubber plug drain cap from the drainage port. Step 2 Attach the drain pipe clip to the back panel of the air conditioner near the drain port with the screw.

    Draining the Unit When the portable air conditioner is in cooling mode or dehumidify mode, it will remove moisture from the air. The condensed water from the air will be collected in an internal reservoir and will be evaporated and exhausted out of the exhaust hose. However, in very humid conditions, the internal reservoir may fill completely.

    Remote Control The remote control is used to operate all of your portable air conditioner’s functions. Use the remote control to change modes, fan speed, timer, and temperature settings and sleep mode. Note: Be careful not to drop the remote control. Do not place the remote control in a location exposed to direct sunlight.

    Modes and Features Auto When selecting Auto Mode, the air conditioner will operate automatically according to the ambient room temperature. The set temperature can’t be adjusted unless the unit is switched to Cool Mode. This is because the labeling on new productions of PAC’s must follow a new federal test standard that was established by the Department of Energy: 10 CFR 430, subpart B, appendix The SACC rating shown on your new PAC is a result of this new standard.
